Moving FAST ahead.
19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not drive it out?” 20 And He said to them, “Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you. 21“But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”
Have you ever thought about fasting? You ever thought about it and then said it is too hard, or you just don't know where to start. Fasting and Praying are two spiritual disciplines that Christ talks about in the New Testament. Matthew chapter 6 uses three phrases in it's writing. Verse 2 when you give, verse 5 When you pray, verse 16 when you fast. These are instructions given to the body of Christ of when, so this suggests giving, praying, and fasting should be a part of our spiritual lives.
Fasting means "afflicting" of the soul, in other words refraining from food. This does not mean you are starving your self, it does not mean you simply go without eating. Whatever food(s) you decide to refrain from when fasting you replace with prayer and studying His word.
The beauty of it is, God accepts our sacrifice see Romans 12:1-2. Fasting is an issue of the heart and your relationship with God. While fasting begin to pray bold prayers, seek God in a different way.
There are a number of benefits of fasting. The results of having a closer walk with God, being confident in who you are in Christ, increased prayer life, supernatural moves from God.
I dare you to Move FAST Ahead.
